Mac Senior Net Auckland Inc. Our Mac Senior Net Auckland Learning Centre, which was established in 2001, is a non-profit, voluntary society, which operates independently and is community based. We are a member of the Federation of New Zealand SeniorNet Societies. Monthly meetings and newsletters provide ongoing support and information on Learning Centre activities and other computer related issues. Workshops and classes are all Apple focused - computers, iPhones, iPads & iWatches. How are we different from other training facilities? Coupled with the age criteria for membership is SeniorNet’s philosophy of “peer to peer training”. This helps us to have a better understanding of our students learning needs and culminates in us having:  Smaller class numbers (max 6 students)  Notes are written by older for older people  Class members and tutors are of a similar age  Participate as a class not as an individual  Social, non-competitive environment  Course material belongs to you  Access to other Learning Centre activities and peer support  All classes are held during the daytime
