About / Bio
SeniorNet Eden-Roskill Inc.
Our SeniorNet Eden-Roskill Learning Centre, which was established in 2002, is a non-profit, voluntary society, which operates independently and is community based.

We are a member of the Federation of New Zealand SeniorNet Societies.

Our Learning Centre is equipped with computers that enable us to teach a wide variety of courses ranging from a basic introduction to computers through to mysteries of the Internet and beyond.

Regular meetings and newsletters provide ongoing support and information on Learning Centre activities and other computer related issues.

How are we different from other training facilities?
Coupled with the age criteria for membership is SeniorNet’s philosophy of “peer to peer training”. This helps us to have a better understanding of our students learning needs and culminates in us having:
 Smaller class numbers (max 6 students)
 Manuals are written by older for older people
 Class members and tutors are of a similar age
 Participate as a class not as an individual
 Lower student to tutor ratio (1 tutor to every 3 students)
 Social, non-competitive environment
 Course material belongs to you
 Access to other Learning Centre activities and peer support
 All classes are held during the daytime
