No one should be left behind in the digital world – Volunteer To Teach Digital Skills to Seniors
We are looking for volunteers with digital skills to volunteer at a SeniorNet near you. So if have these skills, and would like to give back, we would love to hear from you.
SeniorNet provides digital learning courses for older adults to give them the skills and confidence they need to use digital technology. In small, friendly classes led by voluntary tutors, students learn how to get the most from their Smart Phones and devices; to access government services, to keep up to date with friends and family and sharing hobbies and interests with like minded people (in person or online).
The end result? People who otherwise might never have had the chance, and who may have felt left behind by technology, can enjoy the unlimited opportunities of being digitally included. They can keep in touch with family and friends, explore their hobbies, and access government services online.
SeniorNet is a community-based network with Learning Centres nationwide and a membership of approximately 8,500 people.
Each Learning Centre is run by its own team of volunteers and is supported by the Federation of SeniorNet Societies, which represents the interests of all learning centres and digitally-included seniors.
If you have digital skills and you would like to volunteer to help us to give seniors the opportunity to engage with confidence in the online world please contact us
